“Horrible experience on one of our only nights in NYC. We booked through hotel tonight which is the first mistake however we were told it was a room with a view.
We show up and are told it is a “courtyard view”. When I went to the room I saw that it was simply a view of the air conditioners on top of the building.
At this point I went back down and asked if there was any other rooms which I was told there weren’t so I asked for a refund to go somewhere else and was denied. Not even a discount for the type of room. For 575$ a night that’s what I got. Ridiculous. The night time staff was not accommodating and though the manager was polite I was told there was nothing she could do.
If you have any other options stay elsewhere. Especially for the price, there were many other places that were nicer and more affordable but we chose this hotel due to it supposedly being 4.5 stars. It most definitely does not live up to that standard. Stay anywhere else if you can.

“Stayed a few years back when it first opened and it has really gone down hill. Just stayed in the hotel. Walked by the front desk numerous times and there was no one there. Zero security. Did not feel safe. Had issues with the room and very slow to resolve and did not resolve. Expect a low level of service and a worn out Hyatt Place type of hotel. Should be removed as a Hyatt or rebranded as a low tier Hyatt and stop pretending.”
