The Ivens Hotel, Lisbon
The Ivens Hotel
The Ivens Hotel was home to the first luxury warehouse in the city in the XIX century as well as of the first Portuguese public. The iconic building is in every way representative of the XIX century, a period which has marked the spirit and culture of Lisbon. The hotel has 87 unique and comfortable rooms, of which ten are spacious suites including two signature top floor suites. The entrance was mapped to resemble the journey of Ivens and Capelo, two of greatest Portuguese explorers to unveil Africa back on the XIX century. The hotel holds three cinematic dining areas designed by Lázaro Rosa Violan who offer a journey through Italian cuisine, al fresco dining and a "Barra" area.

“Absolutely an incredible experience. From the second we checked in to check out. The decor of the hotel is beautiful. The Lobby and bar are magnificent as well as the rooms. The staff was phenomenal. Friendly, polite, helpful and beyond respectful. Also, the location was perfect. 100 percent would recommend The Iven.”

“Great ambiance, but this hotel has a lot to fix… service was poor from both the F&B outlets as well as the reception on some occasions, F&B overall quality was far below acceptable. Cool rooms and nice decor, although very small — hotel did not honor full Marriott Bonvoy benefits. Many other good options in town, I would avoid this one for the moment.”
