“The staff at the hotel are super friendly, and I was really excited to see that there was a full bar with a billiards table—that’s a really nice touch!
I was really disappointed with the room. Upon walking into the room, there was an overwhelming smell of paint. At first, I thought it was because the hotel is so new, but I came to realize it was from the art on the walls. On both sides of the bed, there are two pieces of art, both of which are literally picture frames with paint cans in them. The smell is coming from the dried paint in them. The art is a creative idea and good reuse of the cans, but they smell strongly of oil paint and gave me a headache.
Although we’re in a King suite, there was no bedding in the closet for the pullout bed, and it took over an hour for it to be brought to our room (I had two small kiddos with me and wasn’t comfortable leaving them alone to go to the front desk).
Additionally, the shower is not in the bathroom. There’s a vanity when you walk into the room, and the shower is by the vanity. If you had guests visiting your room or if you’re staying with people you don’t want to see you naked, this might be a concern.”
