“Undoubtedly a historical institution of luxury in Phnom Penh. The building exterior, interior, the lush green swimming pool shout magnificence and grandeur - something you will not get in a modern 5 star hotel. But alas, the facilities are battered down with time. Most concerningly, the toilets don't flush - making a mess in common areas, where a lot of people use the bathroom. This was enough to change my mind about staying at historical buildings. The swimming pool changing room is modest and subpar and the two-person sofa nest (the rattan cone sofa) by the swimming pool is covered in bird poo on the mattress that nobody ever uses it.”
